Fresh ideas filled with light and life by natural materials – the credo that lamp manufacturer DOMUS has upheld since 1966 is as simple as it is convincing! Lighting engineer Olaf Seynsche runs the family business with ambition and commitment. Under his direction, the brand has developed into a label that attracts great interest from the lighting sector and private customers alike. The lamps go by unusual names such as "Sten", "Pit", "Mia" or "Edward". But that's not the only thing they have in common: they are all the product of highly skilled craftsmanship as well. "We apply the very highest quality standards to our traditional production methods," says Seynsche. That's evident from the ingenious and endearing details that make each and every one of the lamps so unique. Take "Mia", for instance – a poetic, individual table lamp made of wool felt in two bold and cheerful colours. Or "Pit", a family of lamps with a hinge consisting of just a ring and an opening. The design dispenses with complicated mechanisms and is as minimalistic as possible. "The light cast by the conical lampshade isn't just very pleasant for reading or working, it's atmospheric as well," says the enthusiastic lighting designer.

With DOMUS, Olaf Seynsche isn't just a reliable partner for designing private living spaces. The team's technical expertise, its knowledge of the latest technical developments and the creativity of its designers are just as much in demand when it comes to integrated lighting solutions for the contract sector. Wherever decision-makers attach importance to pleasant, welcoming lighting conditions and take their ecological responsibility seriously, they opt for DOMUS and its timeless classics. EB
