OOAA Arquitectura (2011) directed by Iker Ochotorena is a studio based in Madrid, Spain. Our work is based on each project’s specific and unique conditions, its context and our client’s aspirations.

In every project we pursue a calm, protective, atmosphere, which we achieve with tie and passion. We enjoy our work. We create geometric vacuums and volumes carved in noble materials to achieve a silent, serene and warm architecture, where people find a shelter.

We optimize our economic and natural resources while pursuing a timeless and simple architecture. We work together with the client to achieve the best synthesis of concept, function and beauty of spaces where life takes shape naturally.

Biography

Iker Ochotorena (San Sebastián, Spain, 1984) founded OOAA Arquitectura in 2011 immediately after finishing his architecture studies in Madrid, Spain.

His first commission was at his last year at University, the renovation of a 180 sqm apartment in San Sebastián. Today, he runs the studio with 12 people creating projects of renovation and new construction, both residential and commercial.
