Tower 25 is a 62 metre highrise building located in the centre of Nicosia, the capital of Cyprus. It was designed by the world-famous architect Jean Nouvel and it is a major addition to Nicosia's landmarks thanks to its original design and its location. Tower 25 is the tallest building in the capital and indeed a striking point of reference.

The ground floor and the mezzanine areas are for retail spaces as well as restaurants. The six floors above them will be offices offering views of the city in all directions. The top eleven floors contain nine unique luxurious apartments overlooking the whole capital.

The penthouse occupies two floors and its unique open space design with KELLER minimal windows® anodised aluminium sliding doors with double glazing tries to resemble the traditional Cypriot architecture with an enclosed central courtyard where shade is provided by the trees. A swimming pool is an additional feature which makes the apartment unique and probably the most expensive in the city.

A full length balcony on the top floor offers views of the historic city and walls, also allowing natural light in the living space. For these window frames, the unique Luxemburgian designed and manufactured KELLER minimal windows® product was used to in order to integrate all frames flush in walls, ceiling and floors. The only visible frame is the one between the fixed and sliding window with a width of only 21 mm. The architect wanted this penthouse to be a modern and sustainable design in a way it is very energy saving and even almost a passive house. The use of large amounts of glass facades mustn't interfere with these strong objectives.
The varying width and depth of balconies on all other floors creates a natural image as well as the illusion that the building is not static but actually 'breathing'.
The other facades feature a seemingly random pattern of square voids serving as windows as well as openings for natural ventilation needed due to the hot climate of the city. On the south facade a vertical garden will be created with planting space on each floor instead of a balcony making Tower 25 an environmentally conscious building. At the same time this vertical garden gives a more pleasant atmosphere inside the building, something much needed when living in the centre of a city.
