The architecture firm EM2N has succeeded in connecting the Hotel City Garden in a dialogue with the nearby parkforest thanks to spectacular architecture. It was a special challenge for us to adjust this dialogue to the interior and to develop it. We tried to achieve a luxurious, airy atmosphere in the rooms and suites by reducing the amount of furniture and using high-quality materials. In each room, the bed head, a unique element made from the ‘Glinka Güell’ material by Jakob Schlaepfer is particularly eye-catching. For the lobby and the restaurant, we developed lounge sofas and a series of wooden tables that react to the ‘forest-like’ atmosphere. The collaboration with EM2N has demonstrated to us that architecture and interior decoration complement each other perfectly.
