Dark fir trees, cuckoo clocks, Bollen hats or the smell of smoked ham: there are many things that come to everyone's mind when they think of the Black Forest. Of course, the Tannenzäpfle is also at the forefront: the Badische Staatsbrauerei Rothaus AG opened "Schwarzwald im Gerber" in the Gerber - at its first location outside the Upper Black Forest.
The creative concept of the interior designers ties in with Rothaus' homeland. The Black Forest is rough, dark and mystical - but at the same time bright, calm and friendly. The concept picks up on these contrasts and combines them with Black Forest living spaces and precision craftsmanship.
The focal point is a massive, dark green tiled stove, made in the traditional manner. The hand-modelled pine cones in a row of tiles are particularly eye-catching. As the central element in the room, the stove with its round bench and cosy cushions creates the perfect atmosphere in the "good room". Dining is at rustic wooden tables and chairs specially designed for the Rothaus, which were made with craftsmanship by the Swiss manufacturer ag möbelfabrik horgenglarus.
