BDA and BDI

The Confederation of German Employers' Associations (BDA) and the Federation of German Industries (BDI) have their headquarters in the Haus der Deutschen Wirtschaft in Berlin. Both are accessible via the foyer, which should be renovated. The aim of the redesign was to create an inviting and communicative space with a feel-good atmosphere. This multifunctional room is intended to offer both, guests before and after appointments as well as work and exchange for employee’s opportunities.
The client's design concept not only included product features such as maximum light colour brilliance, LED lighting technology with Tunable White Function and sound absorption by the LED lightpanel, but also an inviting room with a high informal and communicative character thanks to the freely playable LED video wall.
endlight used an LED lightpanel with printed motif across the entire width and height of the room. The forest motif creates a feeling of nature other than that urban space.
In addition, a central multifunctional LED video wall was installed, which displays daily updated information about events of both associations. With a pixel pitch of only 1.8 mm from LED to LED, many different contents can be displayed with the most brilliant color renditions. The LED lightpanel is also equipped with very good sound-absorbing properties, which have a positive effect on the room acoustics.
With this innovative concept, the foyer has become the new central informal meeting room of BDA and BDI. There are lots of possibilities to use this multifunctional room with the LED lightpanel. For all kinds of events, personal greetings, information, pictures, videos, headlines, Twitter messages, live broadcasts, such as sports events. By this realization the usability has been more than extended.
