Concept

The Nuno stool is a new addition to the Zanotta 2014 collection, by the young, international award-winning Japanese designer Kensaku Oshiro born in 1977. Nuno is a remarkable, textured complement with the dual function of stool and saddle/organizer compartment. It is a piece of furniture that can be used as a tactile object-sculpture. The Polimex ® frame is completely covered in soft cowhide and is equipped with an opening seat that reveals a cowhide-covered organizer compartment. “The Nuno stool is inspired by the leatherwork utilised in the equestrian world, the attention to detail, the stitching, the straps, and the sturdiness and feel of the cowhide all contribute to the beauty of this object, whose attraction increases over time” comments the designer.
