Bon

Chairs from XO, Designed by Philippe Starck

Product description

Bon rocking chair with polished stainless-steel blades

Concept

Designed for the Bon restaurant in Paris, the armchair is a concentrate of chic, elegance and timelessness, referring to the French Decorative Arts of the 20th Century.
BON is part of a constant aspect of Starck’s work, which is to redefine what he calls “the collective memory” of things.
Bon comes in different versions :
Two seating heights: normal dining height and a lower “Harry’s Bar” version, which enables the armchair to be used as a pull-up chair; the lower version also exists as a rocking chair, equipped with polished stainless-steel blades. Two wood finishes : mahogany-stained or cherry-wood stained beech. Seats and backs are upholstered and available in fabric, leather or pony skin. The armchair also comes with a transparent perspex back, with a diamond-shaped engraving. The combination of varnished wood, leather, stainless- steel inserts and “crystal” engraved perspex, all imply that BON is the ultimate in modern bourgeois chic.
