Concept

Xilomoenia is a wooden system of protection and cover for vertical civil and industrial building structures with high traspirability which lets the humidity produced inside the living place to spread outside without any obstacles or barriers keeping the walls dry and ensuring the ideal conditions for isolation and conservation.

Xilomoenia creates an open cavity with the existing wall facilitating the circulation of the air, it reduces the thermal bridges, it protects from atmospheric agents and sun radiations.Therefore in Summer Xilomoenia creates a real thermal shied to the building to which is applied, protecting from the heat, while in Winter drastically slows down the cooling of the wall. Furthermore, Xilomoenia allows a consistent reduction of sound transfers and using the proprieties of wood gives a high absorption of noise. The existing solutions on the market using pre-made wooden panels require the survey of the surfaces to be covered, their mapping and numeration and the creation of the corresponding panels to be installed following the project sequence. Thanks to the fixing system used you can install Xilomoenia on every surface without any preliminary works on the project and gives the possibility of an easy and economical laying.

Installation:
The installation shall be performed by fixing the single stainless steel profiles using n.4 screws / plugs with a diameter of 10 mm and a variable length depending on the structure of the wall, and ensuring a capacity of 25 kg/m2. These profiles will be placed at an inner distance of 400/500 mm, or 600 mm at the maximum in order to preserve the wood from possible deformations. The wood elements will have to be run through the holes on the stainless steel profiles, or fixed by a special joint on the front.


Specifications:
Wall cladding and and wooden system of protection and cover for vertical civil and industrial building structures in Okoumè or Thermowood as well as heat-shield ventilation system suitable to optimize the thermal insulation as ventilated facade, preserving the building from aging and reducing the environment impact, while increasing sound insulation. The system is made of sawn solid wood elements, which have been dried in Italy according to the SDSP process. Sections of 42x42 mm or da 25x37 mm with lengths from 600 to 3000 mm and higher. Suitable as ventilated façade, sound protection reducing noise by 8-12 dB, sunscreen, covering of technical compartments or decorative element.
