Sputnik 1 was the first artificial satellite to go into orbit, launched 4 October 1957 and is the Russian word meaning ''satellite'' or literally ''fellow traveler''. A series of fixtures inspired by the Sputnik were designed in the 1960ies. This magnificent Beauty bring back the Spirit of this great era.
