Product description

Coast is the world’s first bench made from recycled waste plastic that has been collected from the sea by volunteers. By partnering with Ogoori on blockchain technology and ‘Product-as-a-Service’, we will ensure that the plastic never goes astray again. According to the WWF, the world’s oceans are clogged with over 150 million tonnes of plastic waste. This has dramatic consequences for the world’s animal and bird species. As many as nine out of ten seabirds have fragments of plastic in their stomachs. By taking the lead and showing that it is possible to create a green and profitable value chain for the collection of plastic litter from the sea, we hope to help accelerate the clean-up of the world’s oceans.
