cero III

Window types from Solarlux

Product description

In Kösching, Upper Bavaria, a representative office building was erected on a hill. The building is open on all sides and positioned to reveal a 360° panorama of the Danube floodplains, the foothills of the Alt-mühl valley and the entire industrial park managed from here.
The large-format, floor-to-ceiling cero elements from Solarlux underscore the design idea. With a face width of only 34 millimeters, the filigree aluminum profiles enable maximum permeability. The concealed frames blend seamlessly into the floor, wall and ceiling, creating a smooth transition between inside and outside. The special conditions of the location were addressed with the highly thermally insulated system with triple glazing. cero is tested and certified according to the best security standards. The sliding windows offer burglary protection up to RC3.

Concept

The systems’ concealed sub-frames can be incorporated seamlessly into the floor, wall and ceiling. Thanks to intelligent engineering, glass elements up to 15 m² in area and 1,000 kg in weight can be moved effortlessly and silently. The cero III system comes with great thermal insulation, triple glazing and a panel depth of 72 mm, but it is the extremely high level of energy efficiency that makes it truly impressive: cero III can achieve Uw values of up to 0.80 W/m²K, thus fulfilling passive house standards.
