In the middle of the wilderness of Montana a luxury home in a class of its own is being developed. Due to huge glass facades you get the unrestricted look to the show covered mountain tips of Montanas mountains. Hereby the stairs are a central feature of the architecture. The staircase lets the light flood in and the maximum of brightness and natural light atmosphere is flowing through the rooms. The play of day and year times with light and shadow is happening around the house and inside at the same time.

Original idea was to have the steps also in glass,but we changed them to stainless steel as many other details in the house were in steel.

Beyond the stairs we are creating a floating catwalk which is leading to the upper sections of the property.

Concept

The „Mistral all glass“ is the same as our Mistral staircase just with glass treads. Whenever one speaks about an “all glass staircase" design this is one of the possible options. This stair can be built in many various shapes and styles. You have a straight staircase, turned or curved, a landing staircase or a commercial staircase project? No problem at all! The design is being fitted to your requirements. By using glass one has lots of options available in terms of styles and finishes. Some examples are frosted treads, sandblasted for anti-slip as well as patterns and materials which can be laminated inside the glass railing. Furthermore you can achieve different looks by choosing normal “green” glass or “extra white” (low iron – optiwhite).
