Product description
This ceramic back coated product employs a high quality, low iron glass ensuring a bright white appearance and minimal visible colour tint.
The lead-free inorganic screen printed coating is UV stable and highly scratch resistant but the texture of the fritting is apparent on the rear face of the glass. The screen printing process allows customisable patterns and visible areas to be left uncovered, though the coating is not completely opaque.
The application of a fritted pattern is an established method of introducing a degree of solar control to semi-transparent glass products. The greater the density and size of the frit, the less solar radiation can penetrate.
The product can also be toughened to be used in applications where safety glass is necessary but the toughening process can introduce undesirable roller wave and surface reflection distortion, affecting the appearance of the glass.
