Concept

The stone is the star of the show in these tables which were designed by Michael Anastassiades with the specific intention of highlighting the opulence of the marbles chosen for his collection ‘Love Me, Love Me Not’.
The simplicity of each table is misleading. For example, if we take the legs, those of the rectangular tables look like a conventional four-cornered leg but if you look closely you will see that they are, in fact, curved. This not only creates a sense of the leg drawing back, but also has the effect of lightening the table itself.
For the round tables Michael placed the three legs just far enough to ensure stability, drawn together at the centre to create a three-part column.
