Concept

Kaare Klint designed his Addition Sofa, Model 4865, in 1933. Kaare Klint was originally inspired by a French rococo sofa but simplified it with light, moveable parts. A design, which appears streamlined and timeless and gives the lounge, for instance, an elegant touch

The Addition Sofa covers two elements, one with back and one without, for an individual look. Gives you a flexible furniture solution. The upholstery arches in parallelogram shaped sections, fitted with leather covered nails. The sofa is made in the original design with hand-sewn details and finishing with pipes which gives simple and beautiful seams between the surfaces of the sofa. Each parallelogram part is bordered by pleats that can open to avoid the leather being deformed through stretching.

The sofa is produced in oak, mahogany or European cheery (standard) and covered with Niger leather or oxhide.
