Concept
The development of concrete skin was inspired by Rieder‘s vision of a concrete cladding panel that is both stable and lightweight. The large-format panels are 13 mm thin and give architects plenty of scope in the design of individual facades, with regard to colour, structure and form. Glassfibre reinforced concrete is in-combustible and made of mineral-based raw materials, giving the panels their unique characteristics. The authentic appearance creates a vivid facade. Concrete skin pulls smoothly over buildings, corners and edges like a skin and creates a unique material flow.
The material guarantees absolute safety and fire resistance due to its excellent thermal properties (fire protection class A1 "non-combustible" according to DIN 4102). With its ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications, Rieder sets itself high standards for environmental protection. The environmental product declaration, EPD, gives precise indicators for the life cycle assessment.
Sizes:
Width: max. 1500 mm (max. width for surface matt: 1350)
Length: max. 5000 mm
concrete skin is available in all colour collections:
greyscale: polar white, off-white, ivory, silvergrey, chrome, anthracite, liquid black
bricky: terracotta, coralline, oxide red, burgundy, merlot
timber: terra, larch, oak, walnut, ebony
pietra: sahara, sandstone, cotton, vanilla, almond
Textures:
The new textures add liveliness and depth to any facade. The various structures create an exciting interplay of light and shadow that changes depending on the angle of view. The new textures open up additional freedom for architects and room for individual ideas. The different characteristics better emphasise the naturalness of the concrete material and the authentic appearance.
Surfaces:
FE | ferro: sandblasted, rough structure
FL | ferro light: finely sandblasted
MA | matt: brushed surface
