Based on a Roman metal garland, the Aurelia mirror has been hand made with cut metal leaves bonded to a metal frame. The leaves are then cut and torn before being covered in a thick and textured layer of impasto to simulate the aged patination of the original. Only then do our artists start re-creating the worn metal leaf finish of the original which requires around 8 layers of different coloured varnishes. The Aurelia mirror can be custom made in a variety of sizes.
