Product description

Freestanding mirror with blackodised steel frame. Finished in oil & wax. Bronze or grey tinted glass available. Hand crafted in the North of England.

An ancient technique used to protect steel from corrosion, blackodisation consists of burning a mix of oil and wax before applying the residue to raw metal. The result is a rich, dark, tactile surface with a subtle scaly texture.
