In addition to permanently lettered surfaces, overviews in the quintessence system can also include change modules. These are adapted to the DIN formats. Thus it is possible for the user to simply update or supplement the information. Instructions with long-term validity are lettered via silkscreen or foil text on metal surfaces. Inexpensive paper or foil that is more resistant to moisture and aging in DIN formats are used for variable information.

All surfaces are arranged flush terminated without anchorings. Combinations with pin wall surfaces are also possible. The net DIN surface is available for lettering. The outer dimensions are somewhat greater by adding the joints and enclosing edges.
