Sideboards from Magazin®, Designed by Kuno Nüssli

Product description

Designed by Kuno Nüssli, the designer of our CONTAINER DS series: FIP – wall shelf or sideboard – whatever the venue calls for. FIP features a steel wire base for stacking one on top of the other. Plus, if you prefer a closed front, you find additional sliding doors in our range. The U-shaped steel body is a basic module; therefore, you can customise it to your needs and uses. Fip may serve as an open wall shelf for books or folders, as an alternative to the classic wall unit in the kitchen or as a sideboard in the living room for plates, cups and glasses. The plinth of the furniture is equipped with adjustable feet and serves as a base. It also allows stacking one of the racks on top of another. FIP offers many possibilities to accommodate different storage preferences, and the complementing additional shelves and sliding doors present you with further potential solutions to choose from. All in all, the unusual piece provides the most wanted extra storage space just in line with your needs while still appearing lightweight and delicate.

Please note: We offer carcasses, bases, wall rails, sliding doors and shelves separately, so you can assemble the parts as needed.

Sliding Door (kraftplex®)

This version of a sliding door for the rack FIP is made of a fascinating new material: kraftplex®. The composite wood consists entirely of unbleached cellulose fibres made from sustainably cultivated, FSC-certified Scandinavian softwoods. The manufacturers remove the lignin, a natural binder in wood, from the timber during the manufacturing process. Then they have the cellulose fibres pressed – literally baked – into boards using thermal energy. This process interlocks the fibres to such an extent that they can dispense with all adhesives and chemical additives. The wood-based material named kraftplex® is manufactured in Switzerland and southern Germany. The corrugated and dimensionally stable panels feature a refined surface structure and a medium-brown wood-like colour.

Dimensions: H 36.2 × W 57.8 × D 1.2 cm
Weight: 450 g
Material: 100 % cellulose (kraftplex® wellboard, i. e. a corrugated composite wood panel)
