Concept

Wood touched by Light - Koi, the surreal light

Part pendant, part sculpture, Koi is a dramatic and decorative light that appears as a surreal wood creature. Clever, playful and artistic, Koi is a carp whose being is the brainchild of Inocuo The Sign and LZF Lab.

Koi has an ethereal beauty: engendering a considerable sense of wonderment, its animated form captivates the eye. Cutting an imposing figure, it offers the perfect lighting climax.

Koi was inspired by an interlacing wood system and the translucent qualities this brings about when illuminated. The overlaying of wooden slats, similar to fish scales, is dubbed the Koi Fabric. Made by hand, employing traditional Valencian carpentry skills, Koi is a veritable wonder to behold.
