Lift combines an intelligent, easy-to-use mechanism with a design that avoids any conspicuous, trendy effects. Instead, you can manually move the lampshade up and down, sliding it to any position on its rod stem, and thus effortlessly change the lighting situation. By positioning the shade at the top of the stem you create general, diffuse lighting; alternatively at a lower height the lamp becomes a reading light.

Its form is reduced down to just the bare essentials, offering what seems like a proverbial ray of hope in these paradoxical times of crisis and excess. Plus, if you are into natural materials, Lift also comes with a wood-finish lampshade.
