Gap armchair with beech wood frame; the seat and back can be in plywood, or covered in fabric or leather.

Concept

We tend to see wood as a solid and robust material. Although chairs always rest on their legs, these are usually hidden as part of the mass of the chair. We wanted to emphasise the strength and charisma of the wood with the Gap. We disconnected the backrest and seat, allowing air to pass through the Gap, simultaneously creating balance and harmony.
