Shelving from LEMA, Designed by Raw Edges

Product description

Booken is the bookcase proposal by Raw Edges, its structure is slender – two legs in woods on reinforced pedestal reinforced by a beam, an evanescent body – two rails supporting wood plates used as bookmarks, it hangs the books instead of simply storing them, it changes volumes into building material, available only in two colours, dark red and black, less severe, to underline its personality with no compromise at all. Finishing: ash painted in black open pore finish or asg painted in red amarena open-pore finish. Dimensions: W.1300 mm/51 1/4", D. 320mm/ 12 1/2", H. 650mm/ 25 1/2"

Concept

The eclectic British Raw Edges duo interprets in unique and unusual key the concept of bookcase, integral part of Lema DNA. Yael and Shay have worked on the concept of the book as an object that becomes material, which transforms its function and reinvents itself, from this idea stems Booken which is at the same time side table, shelf and library.
