Link Stool
Architonic ID: 1210359
Year of Launch: 2013
Concept
Form here follows technique, with the design of the Link taking its cue from methods used for shaping and bending, which offer a strong three dimensionality.
The “link” is a metal element joining the backrest’s two wings, while the slot in the backrest gives the chair a light, airy feel. In wooden models, the oblique grain, which has an almost graphic quality, recalls the veins of a leaf, reinforcing the chair’s natural appearance.
With or without arms, frame of either four legs, four star base or castors on five star base both with swivel or sled base, it can be stacked for large-scale use and storage, or linked in rows for meeting and conference rooms. The curved plywood shell is available in several finishes with a seat pad as option. The base can be mat chromed or white lacquered with glides in polythene with felt. This seating program includes a fix height stool in the same finishes.
