ADD, the innovative modular seating system by Francesco Rota gets “Soft”.
After having analyzed a particular niche of the contract market which, especially in some geographic areas, was in need for generous seating, the project of widening the range of ADD was born, also becoming an alternative for the home interior.
The idea is the same: a modular system with aluminium extruded frames powder coated, linked together by die-cast aluminium legs, and elastic belts for more comfort.
But the dimensions are different and it gets softer. The legs get 10 cm. shorter and the cushions in polyurethane with different thickness increase the comfort. The seating unit has changed from 60 cm. to 90 cm. for more welcoming and comfortable seating.
ADD Soft aims at the highest versatility. Its backrest is available straight or for the corner position, for “L shaped” configuration or just an elegant two-seater with backrest on both sides. The backrest can also be integrated becoming an informal supplementary seat. One more variation is showing a configuration of ottomans, adding more freedom and flexibility to this project.
The result is an endless possibility of configurations – from the simplest small two-seater sofa, to “L shaped”solutions, suitable in a living room or in an executive corporate environment; or “vis-à-vis”compositions, perfect in a lounge or hotel lobby where the elements of ADD Soft can be expanded thanks to the linking legs.
ADD Soft system can be implemented by elegant side tops in wood, or Fenix®, also with socket for smartphone, tablets, etc.
Softer, more comfortable, more cosy: ADD Soft can be upholstered in fabric or leather, by choosing among the wide selection of refined colours offered by Lapalma.
