Small space-saver Louis fits in with any living situation and has everything a piece of practical occasional furniture can offer. Thanks to the clever construction of its base, the small side table can be positioned over the seat of the sofa, providing the perfect surface for a laptop, remote control or a beverage. The stable frame consists of flat steel sections which are finished in a fine black texture. The table top is inlaid with end-grain oak veneer. When making end-grain veneer, the tree trunk is cut across instead of lengthwise. This way, the growth rings are visible as circles and give insights into the history and advanced age of the tree. The veneers used on Louis come from oak trees that are at least 70 years and older. The Lambert Wood Care Set is excellently suited for taking care of Louis. The pure nut oil is applied with the enclosed cloth in a thin film to the surface of the end-grain wood and distributed evenly, then polished dry.
