Product description

The design of the 36e8 MadeTerraneo kitchen, with its traditional Mediterranean elements, springs from a trip to Portugal, where it takes the inspiration for the handmade ceramic tiles . The concept was birthed bringing together the two elements of tradition and innovation. The tradition is where Arab and European cultures mix together, transforming each handmade ceramic square into a little decorative work of art. The innovative element in this LAGO design kitchen is how it uses these ceramic tiles as the main components of the working tops and breakfast bar that, like giant pixels, combine to form irregular shapes and patterns. From the fusion of these two worlds comes a Mediterraneanstyle, modular kitchen but one which has maintained all the key LAGO kitchen design characteristics: the modular under and over cupboards, the glass working top supports, and millimetreaccurate fitting. The MadeTerraneo ceramic is custom produced by Made a Mano – a Caltagirone company that blends Mediterranean tradition with Nordic minimalism. It can be used for kitchens with a breakfast bar and working tops with integrated sink, but can also be used in other areas of the home to create Mediterraneanstyle dining tables , benches and shelving.

A modular system based on the square
The 36e8 module was the first building block of LAGO design: a 36.8 cube that revolutionised the language of the design industry, giving individuals the opportunity to design in full freedom.
The 36e8 system is based on this selfsame square module and its multiples and submultiples, providing a way ofarranging wall storage in unusual patterns, whether figurative or abstract, and offering countless options for design-oriented storage.
It is a storage revolution that translates into extreme flexibility and freedom on the wall, where even voids become storage space. The 36e8 system is perfect for living areas and kitchens, bathrooms and storage areas, master bedrooms and children’s rooms as well as offices and other workspaces.
