Elephant with castors

Chairs from Kristalia, Designed by Neuland Paster & Geldmacher

Product description

Rewarded by remarkable success with critics and the public, the Elephant chair with Castors comprises a stiff polyurethane structure, which is both light and comfortable, also available in an upholstered version in Kvadrat® fabrics or in hide with visible stitching that recalls the back of an elephant.

Concept

Starting from a very simple frame, Eva Paster and Michael Geldmacher of Neuland created an extremely innovative project that received an Interior Innovation Award in 2012. The key to the success of this best-selling armchair is its versatility, which allows it to evolve almost continuously, not to mention the high-quality tailored workmanship of the upholstery. The structure is available in polyurethane, with cushions; padded and covered in hide, with the characteristic reinforced ribbing reminiscent of the backbone of an elephant; padded and upholstered in fabric, with hand-stitched seams. In addition to wood or metal legs, the chair is available with a slide-frame base, rocking base, swivel base or castors.
