The best-selling chair by Kristalia can be covered to adapt to the coldest temperatures. The Elephant chair is now presented upholstered in Divina Melange 2 (Kvadrat ®) fabric. The chair is available in a complete range: in leather, fabric or polyurethane. The legs are available in: wood, wood in a rocking version, a slide-frame version or four metal legs. Upholstered in fabric the chair becomes even more comfortable and warm, since the fabric completely follows the contours of the chair, without affecting its design. The designer duo Neuland thought that it was time to cover Elephant to keep it warm.
Concept
Starting from a very simple frame, Eva Paster and Michael Geldmacher of Neuland created an extremely innovative project that received an Interior Innovation Award in 2012. The key to the success of this best-selling armchair is its versatility, which allows it to evolve almost continuously, not to mention the high-quality tailored workmanship of the upholstery. The structure is available in polyurethane, with cushions; padded and covered in hide, with the characteristic reinforced ribbing reminiscent of the backbone of an elephant; padded and upholstered in fabric, with hand-stitched seams. In addition to wood or metal legs, the chair is available with a slide-frame base, rocking base, swivel base or castors.
