Concept

FJÄLL. The idea for this rug developed during a joint exhibition. The Klong company exhibited Ania Pauser’s Knopp lamp beside Kateha’s handwoven rugs. The play of light from the lamp on the walls of the gallery set everything in motion and the idea for the pattern for the Fjäll rug was born. - With Fjäll I wanted to capture the shadows created by the Knopp laser-cut lamp. Graphically, it’s a simple pattern. To add an extra dimension to the rug, I added little tufted dots to the woven surface. These give more life to the rug and add a tactile feel when you walk on it.
