Pinstripe XL is a collection designed by Claesson Koivisto Rune. The Pinstripe pattern was launched back in 2007, as a woven wall-to-wall carpet for the Operakällaren restaurant in Stockholm. Inspiration for the pattern itself originally came from a photograph of Kevin Spacey wearing a pinstripe suit with a buttoned-up shirt. “That’s perfect”, thought Claesson Koivisto Rune, who used a pencil to draw a pinstripe pattern by hand, and then enlarged it.

When the five-star Nobis hotel opened in Stockholm, in 2010, Claesson Koivisto Rune breathed new life into Pinstripe and created a fresh version. This time it took the form of hand-tufted rugs with the original design enlarged even further, hence Pinstripe XL. Pinstripe XL is a collection that exudes a sense of luxury and elegance through its quality, colour and simple, but sophisticated pattern. What is distinctive about Pinstripe XL is that the hand-drawn pinstripes have a totally different character, partly as a result of blowing up the pattern and partly due to the relief effect achieved by combining cut pile with bouclé. The collection is available in four colours – Mahogany, Red, Black and Warm Grey – and is made from wool and linen.

NOTE! Depending on the natural materials used and the different handicraft processes in production, dimensions of the rug may vary by up to 2%.
