A Dining table made from recycled timber and steel.
The WITTEM table impresses with its linear design formed of solid timber in combination with durable steel, as well as its functionality: extending to a maximum length of 300 cm.
The solid timber table plate is combined with a robust, white powder-coated, 9 cm x 9 cm steel frame. The 4 cm-thick recycled pine table plate is glazed with a layer of organic hard oil to protect the natural surface, as well as to maintain and to accentuate the grain of the wood. The height of the frame, also made of solid wood, is 8 cm.
WITTEM can be extended by 100 cm in a few simple steps. First, release three stabilising latches allowing the extended wooden frame to slide out by gently pulling on one of the steel table legs. By pulling out the frame, two half-table plates will appear, which can then be unfolded like a butterfly’s wings and firmly inserted with little effort. After that, lock the three latches again to stabilise the solid wood table, which, thanks to the steel frame, does not require any other annoying table legs.
