Riddled Light

Free-standing lights from CASAMANIA & HORM, Designed by Mario Bellini, Steven Holl

Product description

New edition of the DoppiaLuce Totem, an art lamp in a limited edition of 5 copies, created by the collaboration of two giants of world architecture. The minimal geometries of Bellini act as a frame for the Holl textures, vibrating in unison in a play of refined and evocative light projections.

Floor lamp composed of a lampshade made with a material created and patented by Horm.it, consisting of a wood and fabric sandwich with a thickness of 2.2 mm which, thanks to the incisions on the surface made by laser cutting, is folded like an origami around a solid frame made of Italian walnut. The shade is fixed suspended to a totem type structure made of white painted metal, anchored by adjustable steel wires. Base in solid Italian walnut. The lamp has two independent electrical circuits which supply two light bulbs to be installed in the upper part, and n. 6, warm light LEDs, pre-installed in the lower part. The light bulbs in the upper part project light downward while the LEDs project light laterally and upward, through the laser perforation of the lampshade, creating a magical play of shadows on the ceiling and on the surrounding walls.
