Product description

AAS 32 ECO
Eco-friendly stool in two different heights.
With the objective of recreating HAY's iconic AAS stool to reduce the impact on the environment, the About a Stool AAS 32 Eco uses 100% post-consumer recycled plastic to create the functional and minimalistic seat and backrest that is characteristic of this entire series. With its curved form and long, elegant wooden legs, this eco-friendly stool enjoys a simple yet strong visual presence that makes it ideal as a bar or kitchen stool in a wide variety of public or private environments. The recycled seat is available in different colours, with the base in FSC-certified wood and the footrest is made of steel. The stool is EU Ecolabelled as a sign of environmental commitment, along with the other models in the Eco series.

Concept

With the objective of recreating HAY's iconic About A Chair and About A Stool series from a more sustainable perspective, the About A ECO series focuses on using environmentally friendly materials whilst retaining the fundamental mission of creating a connected family of chairs based around one simple, strong idea. Available in a variety of interchangeable frames and shells, the AAC ECO 12, 22 and 32 models use recycled plastic (PP) for the gently curved shell, while the wooden base is available in FSC-certified oak with a water-based lacquer. All chairs and stools in the ECO series are EU Ecolabelled as a sign of environmental commitment.
