AAC 20
Featuring a swivel base in steel, the About A Chair AAC 20 conveys a more formal expression than its wooden-legged counterparts from the series. The distinctive curved shell provides a soft, unified silhouette, balanced on delicate and elegant legs that fan out from the centred base, as if the tip-toe feet elevate the chair from the floor. The cast aluminium swivel base is available in polished or powder coated finishes, and the polypropylene shell comes in diverse colour and upholstery options, allowing a multitude of design combinations that make this series so versatile.

Concept

The About a Chair collection is the result of a long-term collaboration between HAY and designer Hee Welling. From the outset, the goal was to create a connected family of chairs based around one simple, strong idea, which still retained the individual qualities of each model. By making the frames, shells and upholstery options interchangeable, the About series provides a wealth of design possibilities as well as retaining the elemental form. This multi-functional series includes dining and conference chairs, office chairs, bar stools, lounge chairs, tables, an ottoman and a sofa. Its versatility and contemporary expression make it suitable for a wide variety of private or public environments.
