Product description

Chair with the base in protected stainless steel, powder painted in carob colour. The seat and the backrest are in birch plywood (fin.3A) with a rough effect.

“Look how I'm rocking”, were the words to a classic Italian song from the 1960s. Throughout the ages, across all cultures, the charm of a rocking chair is timeless. For Giorgetti's outdoor collection, Chi Wing Lo has given this piece of furniture a minimal, contemporary look with a carob coloured steel frame and the seat in natural effect birch. It is also available as a fixed, small armchair with both the seat and back in birch. A selection of soft cushions completes the design. In this way, thanks to Giorgetti's impressive cabinet making expertise, working with a wood that is not particularly refined can produce, especially in the case of the small armchair, a sculptural object that moves thanks to the pattern of the grain, which seems to catch every ray of sunlight.

Concept

From the Greek γαια, meaning “the earth", GEA is a collection of furniture and objects designed by Chi Wing Lo, which celebrates the beauty and openness of outdoor living. The morning sun, the breeze at sunset, the approaching rain...all reflected in the choice of materials, where every detail has been designed for living closer to nature. Sophisticated materials and nature's temperament come together to create a collection of chairs, tables, sofas, beach loungers, parasols, lamps and objects to help us enjoy and love a simple life outdoors.
