The background of this strong yellow iranian stone is pitted with tiny, irregular holes and generally has darker bands running through the tile. This sedimentary stone with a strong cultural value was used in the ancient Persia and is quarried in Mahallat, Abbass Abad, Atash Kooh, and Badab-e Surt. The beautiful color and the distinctive design of Travertino Persiano Giallo creates some of the most distinguished floor tiles, but is commonly used also for decorative elements, combined with other neutral colored marbles.
