Tartan suspension

Suspended lights from Foscarini, Designed by Ludovica Palomba, Roberto Palomba

Product description

Suspension lamp with diffused and direct down light. The high-relief hand-blown glass diffuser is produced inside a mould with special incisions of vertical and horizontal lines inside it. The diffuser is open downwards, guaranteeing direct light onto the underlying surface, which adds to the suffused light that transpires through the matt glass. A matt transparent injection-moulded polycarbonate ring nut is incorporated into the glass. Matt transparent injection-moulded polycarbonate lamp holder support. Stainless steel suspension cable and transparent electrical cable. Ceiling canopy with galvanised metal bracket and glossy white batch-dyed ABS cover.

Concept

Blown glass packed with character, obtained thanks to a special hand-blowing technique that recreates the effect of the famous Scottish fabric. Tartan is distinguished by lines and folds across its surface, generating an original graphic game of lights and shadows.
