Ditadidama
Chairs from Fornasarig, Designed by Riccardo Blumer, Matteo Borghi
Product description
Single-shell exoskeletal structure clad with a slender sheet of sandwiched oak or walnut. Weighs only 4kg.
Concept
A research by Riccardo Blumer and Matteo Borghi. The chair has an eso-skeletal type of structure achieved by creating a thin and rigid outer "skin" with a noble finish glued onto a "full-volume" internal mass made out of a lightweight material. This procedure allows a minimal use of noble material; it serves as an aesthetic finish but nevertheless is an integral part of the structure.
Ditadidama is one of the two hundred objects of remarkable design hosted in the exhibition “Ospiti Inaspettati”, Museum Bagatti Valsecchi, March-May 2010.
