Sox is a light, flexible, design orientated desk system. The tops are 16 mm thick. The cross-beam rests at 2 points on each side frame, giving a floating top impression. The slim side frames have an upper fixed element in 4 colours matt powder coated and the ‘socks’ powder coated in 15 mirror finish colours plus chrome style colours and stainless steel. The telescopic connection between the upper fixed element and ‘socks’ allows for desk height adjustment. Sox is height adjustable from 680 to 820 mm in 20 mm steps. Sox presents rectangular desks in various widths and two depths 800 and 1000 mm.

The desks can have extension or meeting tops at one or both sides. For corner solutions there are 600 mm deep desk returns connected at 90°.
Feeding of all cables using cable clips at the socks. The drawer unit design continues the straight line conceptual image of Sox. Mobile and freestanding desk height pedestals with side pull plain fronts. Fixed drawers with 3 or 5 height units including pencil insert tray. 600 mm for 800 mm deep desks and 800 mm for 1000 mm deep desks.
Designed for reduced load capacity as an alternative storage facility, plus, for visitors, as seat pedestals creating a new office modernity and lifestyle. Standing height tables with shelf, in complimentary design to furnish the communication points.
The desks may be connected in linear form to produce work benches. In this case for technical reasons, fixed drawer units are not possible at the linked side.
Tops 16 mm multi density chipboard covered with melamine according to DIN 68765, 2 mm PP-edge (Polypropylene) bonded by Laser-TEC operation. Veneered tops with solid edges. A brush profile at the rear edge for cable access is available as an option, Note: depth of desk top and 21 mm.

Tobias Berneth was born in 1977 in Würzburg/Germany. Following his apprenticeship as a joiner, he studied industrial design at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart. After completing his degrees, Berneth gained experience as an industrial designer at various companies in Europe, until he launched his own design office „Tobias Berneth Design AB“. For his works he received several design awards and was honored with exhibitions.
