A chair without legs, FEDRO represents a groundbreaking new concept in seating. Ergonomic in design, it balances on two narrow skids, allowing you to rock back and forth as you please, using your legs and feet to control the movement. Lightweight, portable, stackable and supremely comfortable, FEDRO is ideal for lounging around the house, tanning by the pool, in the grass, on the beach or just about anywhere you care to take it. Conceived by the noted Milanese fashion, textile and accessories designer Lorenza Bozzoli, FEDRO was inspired by — and named after — her son, who would balance in front of the TV on the seat of an old chair, its legs removed, while playing video games. The multi talented Bozzoli, who had never designed furniture before (“except for myself,” she says), worked closely with her old friend Nicola Rapetti, DEDON’s Director of Design, to find just the right ergonomics for FEDRO . She’s looking forward to using the chair to sit in the grass, playing cards with friends; her son, meanwhile, hopes to have several FE DRO s in the TV room for gaming with his mates. The chair’s birdlike form inspired its color schemes, all based on tropical birds of Latin American — the Flamingo, Colibrí and Quetzal. FEDRO comes with a handle at the back, for easy carrying, and a comfy cushion for the head.
