About this product

Architonic ID: 1509491

Year of Launch: 2015

Berlin-based designers David Geckeler and Frank Michels – who have always taken a keen interest in materials and technology – are the creative talents behind the recently expanded Bias collection. There is now a lounge chair to go with the table that was presented at the Salone del Mobile in 2015. It all began with the idea of a fluttering sheet of paper resting gracefully on

a sloping cylinder. The minimalist body calls to mind Finnish chairs made of sheets of wood.

A considerable amount of wood is used in the Bias collection, which can cater to a wide variety of contemporary needs. It is bursting with personality, so

it is more than capable of standing alone in living spaces and the different spheres of the contract market.

There is also a padded version available with thin but high-density foam for superior comfort. Its outstanding originality and innovation are inspired by new ergonomic approaches based on modern lifestyles.

Concept

A leaning cylinder and slender top meet to create this small table completely made of oak veneered plywood. A perfect combination of dynamism and stability, attentive craftsmanship and clean lines. The cylindrical base, with a diameter of 38 or 50 cm, has no visible joints, resulting in an impeccable appearance. The open space between top and base acts as a functional grip when moving.
