Product description

Hiroshi Yoneya designs this series to fit in the inteior of public spaces such as hotels and bookstores, by eliminating unnecessary decorative elements and keeping the shape sharp yet simple. The straight-line design of the chair is inspired by the structure of Japanese traditional wooden buildings. The designer believes it looks more beautiful especially when some of the chairs align. What features the design of the series are the plain back view and contrast with the round shape of the seat cushion.

Concept

JINGU stands for shrine in Japanese, designer Yoneya Hiroshi always feels like there is a connection between him and the shrines. Not only is his office located near the Meiji Shrine, when he traveled to the famous Ise Shrine, he felt deeply connected to the shrine and the nature near it.
Yoneya Hiroshi wanted to design furniture that would melt through or become part of the building, furniture that wouldn't stand out but essential to the space.
The JINGU series is very simple and very different from other CondeHouse series. The chairs have simple designs and feel very Japanese. Armchair and armless chairs are designed for long hours sitting and are recommended to use in hotels, lobbies, or offices.
