With BENU PURE FR, Christian Fischbacher is adding an attractive new fabric to its BENU PET collection. The yarns used for the new soft, flowing and flame-retardant voile are made from recycled PET bottles which are collected, cleaned and compressed. They are then shredded into flakes and spun to make polyester yarn, after which a flame retardant is added. This process makes the yarn inherently flame-retardant, and these properties are embedded in the molecular make-up of the fibre.
