It’s not easy to manage the essential and above all combine materials and colours. Enzo Catellani has managed to maintain his personality by adapting his creativity to the new technological needs. It’s been a long journey because the first prototypes were presented in Milan at Casa della Luce in via Ventura and at Euroluce 2013. This year at Light+Building the definitive collection will be presented that has been improved and perfected technically and pays great attention to the materials and finishes, but above all chooses colour combinations that recall the taste and distinction of Italian haute couture. The simplicity of the fantastic black-copper combination is the place where past and future meet. The total white characterises the only white table lamp, which is harmonious and elegant in its technical essentiality. Standard lamps and reading lamps with oblique rods are slight modifications that personalise the definitive collection even more. All the proposed models are available in different combinations of colours and materials that are nevertheless still guided by a single and unequivocal creative vein.
It offers LED technology at mains voltage without the need for a transformer and is also dimmable. It is a 17W LED module with an output of 1.300 lumen, which corresponds to approximately 80W of the old linear halogen lamp. Using several modules, 5.000 lumens can be achieved, which is equivalent to approximately 250W of the old halogens. These LEDs have a life of approximately 30.000 hours and can be replaced. Therefore, in addition to having a long life and achieving great savings in energy, they also have extremely low maintenance costs.
