The transponder module allows the door to be opened via programmable key cards. As a practical and cost-saving alternative also smartphones with near-field communication function (NFC) can be used for opening doors. Programming is carried out directly on the module or via a web browser (requires IP gateway 83342-500). Additional devices are not required for commissioning.

As a module of the ABB-Welcome solution from Busch-Jaeger the transponder module is, of course, subject to protection type IP 44 and is totally weatherproof.
