Osmosi is a series of unique glass and marble vases, furniture and lighting pieces. Osmosi Light is the collection of sculptural lighting objects, that unfolds into a main numbered edition and special limited editions. The project lies on the border between serial production and one-of-a-kind sculptures, all of them being resolutely functional.
By combining new technology with traditional craftsmanship in an entirely innovative way, a virtual fusion is made between marble and hand blown glass. These materials are put together with a precision that is only possible thanks to high-level digital technology.
The production process begins with blowing the glass. Afterwards, the hand-blown form is captured and digitalised by a 3-D scanner. The matching shape is CNC (Computer Numerical Control) milled into the marble, creating two unique pieces that match each other perfectly. They are separate pieces, but each has no meaning without the other. Like Cinderella and the glass shoe, there is only one unique piece of glass that can fit into one unique piece of marble. The effect is a perfect symbiosis between materials.

Osmosi is an edition of unique glass and marble pieces, marrying both materials into sculptural objects and pieces of furniture. The editions are based on a combination of digital technology and traditional craftsmanship, possible through the use of 3D scans and 3D software. The work is characterized by a virtual fusion between marble and hand-blown glass. The glass sculpture and the marble furniture are separate pieces, but one is not the same without the other. Through gravity alone they fit together in synchronized harmony.
