Kayar: passage to India.

Coconut fibre and rubber: ecological materials that convey an idea of nature and the contemporary. A project that combines the high technical performance of an Artigo floor with an aesthetic which contains many cross references such as global awareness, tradition and modernity.

Kayar is obtained by adding fragments of natural coconut fibre to a mix of rubber. The technological fulcrum of the project is the mixing process, specially engineered by Artigo to obtain a characteristic random act of the distribution of the fibres onto the surface.
